TCA Rail is anchored in a robust logistical infrastructure, with Terminal Container Athus serving as its central hub. This strategic foundation enables TCA Rail to efficiently integrate its rail traction services within a high-performance intermodal environment, from arrival through to further distribution.
With an annual traffic volume exceeding 100,000 TEU and an average of 1,200 trains, the Athus site plays a key role in rail freight transport. Within this ecosystem, TCA Rail provides rail traction on major national corridors, specifically between Antwerp and Athus, and offers reliable and high-performance traction solutions across the entire Belgian railway network.
Through the terminal, there are also connections to international routes, including towards Switzerland (Basel), which are organized by Terminal Container Athus and executed in cooperation with partner railway undertakings. In this way, TCA Rail positions itself as a strong national railway operator with the ambition to further expand its international activities.
